We are resuming our weekly meetings each Thursday at 7:30 am at a new location where we can be outside and observe safe social distancing:

Mount Ogden Golf Course Pavilion, 1787 Constitution Way, Ogden, UT 84403.

We will continue to post updates if health precaution levels change in the future. As a reminder: All members are to wear facemasks to our weekly meetings and maintain social distancing requirements per the CDC guidelines.

    Thank you!

Weekly meetings are suspended until further notice. We seek to adhere to the county's health guidelines on social distancing and large gatherings. We will notify members when face-to-face meetings will resume. For now, stay safe, and stay home!

What a great holiday season kickoff! The grand opening of Christmas Village was a blast! Between the Santa run, the parade and the fireworks, the Village was buzzing with excitement. Per usual, it was extremely hard to keep up with the crowd, even with two burners going outside making cocoa.

Kevin was interviewed on video by a couple of local celeb's (who'd previously made HBO documentaries internationally) as well as by the Standard Examiner (for THIS article).

And above all this, FIRST prize of the night goes to Josh Haacke's two sons who gutsily surfed the crowd with their cocoa shouting, "HOT CHOCOLATE! RIGHT HERE! SUPPORT SHOES FOR TOTS!"

We have a great season ahead of us!

The presentation by Professors Gene Sessions and Craig Oberg was entertaining today at Ogden Breakfast Exchange. Might I say surprisingly entertaining, considering the topic - "microbes"?

But what a fascinating experience to learn how pairing history and microbiology could yield a synergistic product: How microbes caused Gerald Ford's electoral loss (swine flu) and Napolean's Waterloo (typhus).

The Prof's lead an online course called a MOOC (Massively Open Online Course that has been taken by students from 87 countries IN their home country. For more information, click on one of the links below:

Hanko Kiessner, CEO of Packsize, once said, “I wanted to build a successful company that didn’t wreck the planet... While Utah has 'the greatest snow on Earth' and more national parks than any other state in the US, many of our residents avoid going outside in the winter months, and on some days the air quality is bad enough that the state government actually cautions against it. Air shouldn’t come with a health advisory."

We may not be able to get rid of the inversion, but we can help reduce our pollution. That is why Hanko started Utah’s Leaders for Clean Air™, a non-profit aimed at decreasing our carbon footprint through electric vehicles. You can find out more about Utah's Leaders for Clean Air™ here...

Packsize International LLC was founded by Hanko Kiessner. PackSize is the global leader in On Demand Packaging® for businesses with complex corrugated packaging. PackSize ranked #15 on Utah Business' Fast50 List last month. Packsize was honored in May as Utah’s “Global Pacesetter of the Year” for its success in exporting.
