Ogden Pioneer Days, Utah’s biggest and best statehood celebration, takes us back to where we came from — to the roots of our free country, to the untamed wilds, to the hearty stock of men and women who trekked westward into the golden horizon of the wild west. Each year, they host events ranging from concerts and firework shows to art strolls and parades.

Join us  to learn more about Miss rodeo Ogden and Miss Rodeo Utah and their engagements for this year.

MaKaylie Richins, 19, is Miss Rodeo Ogden,   2017. She is the daughter of Jeff and Lisa     Richins. “I want to do something that truly  matters and instill those same values into  the lives that faithfully support the sport of  rodeo,” Richins says. “I love to serving as an  ambassador to this great rodeo and  celebration of pioneer heritage.”

McKenna Lynn Hales, 20, is  Miss Rodeo Utah 2017. Her parents are Ron and Becky Hales. She is a student at Brigham Young University in Provo. She plans to apply to the nursing program following her reign as Miss Rodeo Utah. Working in partnership with the American Cancer Society, McKenna’s year will be spent helping to improve Utah’s poor cancer screening rates, educate about prevention, and help promote the cancer society’s programs and events.  I look forward to the opportunity to be a valuable contributing member of the Miss Rodeo Utah legacy.”
