Roger Snow worked as an engineering tech during his early years at college and then moved into the Industrial Technology Education program at USU. He started teaching at NUAMES when it started up and then moved into a position at the Ogden-Weber ATC teaching drafting and engineering at Ogden High School.

After a decade of teaching, he was appointed as the assistant principal at Ben Lomond High School for three years. He just moved into a new position as the STEM specialist for the Ogden School District this year.

"The main focus for our students with our SOAR into STEM intitiative this year is to create a pipeline of STEM curriculum offerings that will provide them with the skills and knowledge to more quickly integrate into our local engineering, technology and manufacturing workforce, and to also increase the opportunities for them to continue their post-secondary education and training.

"Integral to the success of this effort is a tight coordination between our school district programs, the training at OWATC and WSU, and support from local industry and community leaders. We have designed three specific training certificates in pre-engineering, information technology and advanced composites manufacturing. We have formed a professional learning community (PLC) with industry, education and community partners to determine the viability of these curriculum pathways and to determine other supports necessary to make these programs successful for our students."
