Ann Nelson: Weber County Regional Director – The YMCA has been Ann’s career of choice for 30 years. She started her career by opening afterschool and preschool programs in a small community in eastern Pennsylvanian. In 2004, she became the Executive Director of one of the fastest growing, largest YMCA branches in the country. It was a $10 million operation, with 23,000 members housed in a state-of-the art 140,000 sq. ft. facility. Later, she became the Vice President for Early Childhood Education for the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA, managing over 90 child care sites with a $17 million child care budget. Her dream was to extend the YMCA services to the western part of the United States, so in January 2015, she came to Ogden, Utah as the Regional Director for YMCA of Northern Utah. What a wonderful transition it has been!
