Jared Esselman began his career in aviation as a Loadmaster on C-17s in the United States Air Force. After serving in over 300 combat missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan Jared earned his Bachelor’s in Political Science from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. He would go on to intern in the White House under George W. Bush and continue his education with a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University.

While focused on policy, Jared also has experience in the political realm as he ran for Mayor of his home town. From there he worked in DC in the banking industry before coming back to his first love of aviation as Director of State Government Affairs for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Jared has impacted aviation legislation in 23 states and Puerto Rico. Currently he manages the state aircraft fleet and the statewide aviation system of 46 public use airports, 90 back country airstrips and over 6,000 registered aircraft here in Utah.
