Michael Jeanfreau, Regional Economist Utah Department of Workforce Services

Michael Jeanfreau is a Senior Economist who serves the Northern Region of the Utah Department of Workforce Services.  Mr. Jeanfreau loves the challenge of gathering, analyzing, and translating economic information into understandable narratives that help provide actionable insights to community partners.  Michael has bachelor’s degrees in Financial Math and Quantitative Economics from Weber State University. When not immersed in synthesizing data into mental maps, Mr. Jeanfreau runs a D&D group and enjoys beekeeping.

Join us for an economic forecast. There will be a review of the recent COVID period, an update of labor market indicators, and a summary of current market conditions. This will followed by a brief look into some of the short- and long-term cause and effects of the labor shortage. Time will be reserved for questions following the presentation.
