Alex McDonald and Kalijah Robinson

Weber State University Venture Program

Alex McDonald was the director of public relations for Intermountain Donor Services for 27 years and retired in 2021, having been a member of Breakfast Exchange for most of those years. Realizing he wanted to do more and help others in the community, he went to work for Weber State University as the program coordinator for Venture, a two-semester course in liberal arts geared towards low income students that may not have a chance to try college-level courses.

Kalijah Robinson, pictured far right, is a graduate of the Venture Program. He feels it has helped give him more confidence in communicating and he now looks forward to continuing his education and becoming a science teacher.
