Rhonda Lauritzen and Amy Wicks, West Weber Inland Port
The West Weber Project Area is a collaborative effort between the Utah Inland Port Authority (UIPA) and Weber County to create an industrial development on the eastern shores of the Great Salt Lake near the area known as Little Mountain. The project area totals 9,000 acres and is located entirely within the boundaries of Weber County.
In May, UIPA voted to adopt the county's proposed West Weber Project Area. In August, some citizens of Weber County gathered to discuss concerns with the plans. Rhonda Lauritzen of Hooper and Amy Wicks, former Ogden City Council member, will present to the club regarding concerns and the project process.
