Lu Ann Cooper, President, Hope After Polygamy

Hope After Polygamy's mission is to connect individuals who have left polygamy to resources in their communities and provide assistance for their journey to the outside world, including through a robust scholarship program.

Lu Ann Cooper was born and raised in a polygamous family and married at age 15. She left at 20 to find a better life with two daughters, no high school diploma, and no connections. After building a life from the ground up, she has a passion for supporting others who have chosen to leave polygamy and want a different life for themselves. She serves as the organization's president.
